Dr. Welsh’s research interests include:

Acute coronary syndromes and interventional cardiology
Valvular heart disease
Atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease
Cardiovascular disease and diabetes
Exercise physiology and cardiac physiology
Pre-hospital management of ST-elevation myocardial infarction, and the interaction of pharmacological (antithrombotic and ﬁbrinolytic) and mechanical interventions (primary and rescue angioplasty)
